We have installed the Google Calendar add-on; it’s essential plugin that allows to manage and sync online booking with our google calendar, making life easier, both for us and clients when they book through our website.
During the activation process of the google calendar the error message was reported when we click on the button to get access (for access token). Even though all API keys and IDs were set correctly and saved before we clicked on the button, when we were connected to google to sign in and to allow access to the plugin, following server error message:
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.
How we solved the problem?
Mod_security generally has to do with hosting service blocking non-white listing the services. We contacted the hosting support to white list and to override Mod_security rules; hosting service provider was able to do the necessary and wallah, issue was fixed!
This plugin is great in that, it allows us now to update / alter bookings that reflects on my smartphone’s google calendar, so thanks to the plugin and it’s developer.
